In this introductory course, you’ll gain a solid grounding in the fundamentals of sitar playing. Learn about the instrument’s structure and how each part contributes to its rich, resonant sound.
Master the correct sitting posture and proper use of the mizrab (plectrum) for clean, precise strokes. Build strength and clarity through basic alankars (exercises) using the Sa Re Ga Ma scale, while exploring simple sargam patterns and bols.
You’ll develop a strong foundation in rhythm and melody. The course culminates with your first composition a Sargam Geet set to Teental.
